First ever Case!!!

Today is my first day of work!! Super duper gancheong and blur..

I didn't know it would be my start today.. cos Shanny (who's my manager, and my sis's best fren) said she wanted to train me in office instead of bringing me out.. But due to some reasons, i ended up in Pasir Ris doing Street Prospecting.. It's my first ever day in Prudential to get in touch with the public and talk to Strangers on the streets.. I was really very very scared at first and dare not approach anyone.. but Shanny was beside me.. helping me spot who has a "potential" face.. then i decided to pluck my courage to approach the first person.. i just dashed forward.. and talked crap with the person.. he did survey for me.. and we talked some craps.. then i got hold of his number and particulars..

I realised it's not as difficult as i thought cos there're really quite a number of ppl who will stop for you.. unlike what i've imagined.. but nevertheless.. i still feel quite nervous and kept contemplating if i should approach this particular person or not..

But after an hour or 2.. i decided to approach anyone i deem potential and dash forward to try.. then about 2 hours later.. i blocked the path of a man in his thirties and asked for his help for just 1 min.. then i suggested if we can sit down and talk and he actually agreed!! I was shocked and at the same time.. Delighted! Cos if the person is willing to sit down.. it means it a high chance of closing.. then Shanny, who wasn't with me at that instant, sprinted to my help.

I presented to the person.. and with Shanny's help, finally we closed hiM!! But he was so easy going that i was quite scared and i had a feeling he actually had the intention to just talk and know me.. And i didn't really know how to handle this.. luckily Shanny was with me all the while.. and helped me with my presentation.. cos i was unfamiliar with filling in the forms and what to do to close the case.. cos it's my first day!!!

Then the man gave me the first month's premium and rushed back home cos his family was waiting for him.. Everything was so rush. Then when he got home.. he called me.. telling me that he wanted to change the plan to become her daughter's instead of himself.. cos he feels that his daughter needs it more.. So we arranged to meet up again on Sunday.. and i hope everything will go smoothly then..

Happy but at the same time.. Keeping my fingers crossed that this case will go smoothly and be my first case successfully!!!

I gotta work doubly hard to familiarise myself with closing a case.. stopping a person is not a problem but the process of convincing the person is not easy.. I must jia you!!!

Bday presents

I've received 2 birthday presents recently! First one is a very sweet present from Jinling, Chewy and Yilin.. Take a look~

It's a jewellry box which comes in the design like a wardrobe.. We went Ngee Ann the other day and saw this at the fair.. Then they suggested buying it for my bday present since i came across something i like.. hee.. Ended up all of them also quite like it and Yilin nearly wanted to buy also.. but ended up didn't cos it's quite expensive..It's so sweet and i like it alot!!

A second present that i've received was from ah kok.. He's scared he might not have enough budget to buy me next month.. so he went to source for my present one month earlier.. hee.. Ended up he gave me a surprise by giving me this..

It's a heart-shaped pendant with diamonds on half of the heart.. It's sweet of him.. Thanks~~

Cute Cayden

It's been very long since i last mentioned about Cayden to you gals!! Today i shall let you all take a look at him.. hee. It's really speedy.. he's now 5 months old le!!! And he grows very fast also.. he's bigger than a normal 5 months old baby i feel. He's rather chubby and cute.. hee.. But he's quite a lazy baby..

My mum says he's very clever.. but he's sort of lazy to learn things.. By right he should have learnt to turn his body on bed by around 3 months old.. but he has only mastered the skill recently.. But he's really fast in other things. He likes to "Gai Gai".. means go out.. Then everytime my mum carries him and stroll along the corridor, he'll be very happy and haolian. Then he'll wave Goodbye to us, swinging his hand up and down.. heee..

Also he likes to play with our house's phone.. which is a doggie with two ears dangling.. and I demonstrated to him.. "Ar Ar" the dog.. means beat the dog.. then he also copy me. haha..

Lucky girl

I feel that i'm a very fortunate girl.. with lots of good frens who'll always stand by me.. through thick and thin. This has been proven numerous times when i'm down.. My good frens will always be there for me.. listen to me and stay by my side. I feel tat i'm really a lucky girl, who has everything quite smooth in my life.

I feel that friends are very important, after family. Especially my best friends and my gangs of good friends.. who have always been very supportive of me.. no matter wat happens.. This makes me feel that whatever decisions i make in life, i'll never be alone..

Just like now, i decided a change in my career path.. some frens feel that it'll be a tough start.. and my 2 best frens give me utmost support by being by my side to support me.. tat's really encouraging.. moreover, i got a supportive bf too.. who'll always be there for me too. hee..

Guess i'm really fortunate.. and i really have to work hard to let them be less worried for me.. and happy for me too!!

It's quite sad to think that i'm no longer going back to tat place again.. fond memories will always stay in my mind..

Tendered my resignation on Monday.. Time flies.. Yesterday was my last day of work in HSBC.. I've mixed feelings for leaving the fun-filled yet scary place. Having worked there for close to 3 months, i've gained quite alot.. In terms of friendship and also some work experience.. Though Telesales is like.. nothing much.. nevertheless, it's still a great skill i can bring with me wherever i go..

For the past few months there, i feel like there's really much politics happening inside.. Warning letters fly here and there like nobody's business.. Colleague got condemned by manager.. Seniors go off one by one.. at first.. me and my close colleagues contemplated it's really a crazy workplace.. and we sort of dislike our manager..

However, after seeing things from a different perspective, i feel that each and everyone does things with their own rationale.. Our manager may be nasty to certain people.. but i feel that he has his ways of doing things.. just that sometimes his actions can be quite childish..

Though a short 3 months, i feel that i've been there for quite long.. because my colleagues are fun-loving and we always chill out after work.. It's been quite a good experience there and i get a feel of how a bank operates.. HSBC is considered not so bad ba.. heard that Citibank's culture is damn scary.. People always camp overnight in the office and it's considered normal.. Over at HSBC, we can fly off at 6pm and don't care about work anymore.. However, i decided that that place is not for me.. and i don't think i wanna endure for another 9 months before i can become a Personal Wealth Manager.. so i decided to leave..

Opportunity came as my sis's best fren offered me to become her agent.. People might say it's really hard.. like some of my colleagues mentioned that they were agents once but found it unstable and tough.. And some say that Uni grad go be Insurance Agent? haha.. heard of this quite alot of times. But i've no interest in my Major.. and the easiest way to earn money is to do sales.. so i feel like giving it a try.. Cos i feel that.. if i never try, i'll never know if i can make it.. Since we're still young, so why not just do what you want and live life to the fullest.. For me, earning money for a better life for me and my family is a priority in my life now.. So, just cheong ba.. Just that the first few months will be very hard as there'll be no income.. However, hard work will surely be paid off soon.. =)

My road ahead may be quite unexpected as of now.. but hope that i'll strive hard and my hard work will eventually pay off..
